Usually we travel to different venues every week, and it is not even unusual for us to be in different cities every weekend. There are a lot of cities around the Central Valley where we perform often.
China Peak was a beautiful place to have a wedding. The first week we were there we went on top of the mountain for the wedding! This was gorgeous as it overlooked Hunnington Lake. I call this God’s country because everything is so pristine and beautiful.
This was a great place to have a wedding, and the lodge had a great area for the reception as well. The food was really good and the bridal party had a great time dancing with all the other guests all night long. The bride picked out some of her favorite songs to dance to for her wedding night
The bride and groom were from Visalia the first week, and the bride and groom the second week were from Los Angeles and New York. The guests from New York really loved to dance. They made sure we knew that they had traveled across the country for this wedding. Everyone was real friendly, and they loved it at the end of the night when we played the song New York New York. They all made a circle and kicked their legs up in the air.
There were a lot of requests from the guest as well. We kept the place going for hours! The dancing kept going all night long until the end of the night. We finally stopped so the guests at the lodge were able to get some sleep.
